Coleraine closed the gap at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership to just two points after thrashing Ballinamallard 5-2 last night.

It was a vintage performance from Oran Kearney’s side and a must-win to stay in touch with league leaders Crusaders.

Aaron Burns, a recent signing from Linfield, scored on his debut.

The Mallards remain rooted at the bottom of the table with just 10 points.

In the other game of the night, Glentoran fell 2-1 at home to Ards.

As a result, their already slender hopes of a top six post-split finish have been severely dented.

There are two games this afternoon.

Cliftonville take on Linfield at Solitude. Both sit fourth and fifth in the league respectively but with the same number points, 49.

Meanwhile, Carrick are at home to Warrenpoint.

Kick-off as usual at 3pm .
