Linfield take on Glentoran at Windsor Park in the pick of today’s Danske Bank Premiership games.

The so-called Big Two have much to play for outside of the usual bragging rights.

The Blues’ season has been disappointing to say the least but they are still very much in the running for third place.

David Healy’s side are currently fourth but are breathing down Glenavon’s neck and will feel they owe their supporters at the very least a winning run-in to the end of the season.

Glentoran, meantime, look revitalised under Ronnie McFall – having lost just one game since the former Portadown boss came out of retirement to take over the Oval reins until the end of the season.

The Glens cannot afford any slip-ups if they are to pip Ballymena for a post-split sixth place.

When the two met at the Oval on Boxing Day (pictured) it was the home side who came away with all three points after a 2-1 win.

Elsewhere, league leaders Crusaders take on Dungannon Swifts at Seaview while second-placed Coleraine, under a rich vein of form at the moment, are away to Ards.

Ciftonville, comfortably in fifth place and with an Irish Cup semi-final against Championship giant-killers, Loughgall, to look forward to, should be too strong for Carrick.

Meanwhile, Gary Hamilton’s Lurgan Blues are at home to bottom side Ballinamallard while Ballymena take on Warrenpoint at the Showgrounds.

All of the games, weather permitting, have a kick-off time of 3pm.
