The Belfast Giants are on course for a top seedings spot in the Challenge Cup knockouts,

Last night they beat the Glasgow Clan 5-2 at the SSE Arena in Belfast.

That was their sixth straight win from six matches in the competition - and extended their overall winning streak to 13 games in a row.

Goals from Mark Cooper (main pic), Greg Printz, Ciaran Long, Ben Lake and Johnny Curran earned the Giants the victory.

It was another stellar performance from Tyler Beskorowany who made 31 saves after replacing the injured Jackson Whistle midway through the first period.

Next up, the Giants continue their Elite League title defence with a trip to the Dundee Stars on Saturday before returning to home ice against the same opponents on Sunday for the second game of a double-header.
