Allen set for World Championship bid
Antrim man gets his campaign under way on Sunday
Antrim’s Mark Allen bids for World Championship glory on Sunday.
The 31-year-old who is ranked the world’s 11th best player, takes on qualifier Jimmy Robertson in the opening round of the tournament at the Crucible.
Eight years ago Allen achieved his highest position in the championships – reaching the semi-final. He’s also been twice in the last 16.
