Mark Allen’s world title dream is over.

The Antrim star was knocked out of the championships at the quarter-final stage last night – after losing 13-6 to Kyren Wilson.

It was always going to be difficult for Allen to progress after he went into the session – 11-5 down.

Earlier in the year, he picked up the Masters title for the first time.

But the World Championships title has always eluded him with his best run in 2009 when he reached the semi-final.
