Yellow weather warning for strong 40-70 mph winds this week
Thursday morning (24th November) will see strong southerly winds develop, with gusts of 40-50 mph inland and 60-70 mph along the coast across Northern Ireland.
A yellow weather warning will be in place from 8am to 2pm on Thursday, across all counties.
The Met Office has predicted strong winds may lead to transport disruption, before winds ease from the west during the late morning and early afternoon.
A statement on the Met Office's website reads: "A spell of strong southerly winds, with gusts of 40-50 mph inland and perhaps briefly 60-70 mph along some exposed coasts, accompanied by a short period of heavy rain.

Tonight: A few clear spells with scattered showers from the evening before becoming mostly dry with increasing clear spells from around midnight. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Thursday: Dry with sunny spells in the early morning, soon becoming cloudy and windy with outbreaks of rain spreading east. Rain clears to sunny spells and a few showers later. Maximum temperature 11 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday: Sunshine and mostly dry Friday. Saturday soon turning cloudy with outbreaks of rain and strong winds. Wind eases Sunday with a few showers later.
