Yellow weather warning cancelled for most in NI apart from Co Down area
Last updated 13th May 2024
The Met Office has updated their yellow weather warning for heavy rain today in Northern Ireland.
It was originally in place for most across Northern Ireland, however it looks like the south east of Co Down will be affected most - Saintfield, Ballynahinch, Crossgar, Downpatrick, Newcastle and Kilkeel.
A yellow weather warning is in place there until 9pm this evening (Monday 13th May).
This follows a weekend of blue skies and sunshine, which led to a yellow weather for thunder yesterday afternoon.
Northern Ireland's five-day-forecast 👇
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a lot of dry weather during the night. Some rain lingering along north and east coasts, extending to inland parts of Country Down and Antrim by morning. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
Tuesday: Cloudy morning with patchy rain, becoming confined to Antrim coast in the afternoon. Drier, brighter weather developing elsewhere. Light winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: A mainly dry few days with some warm sunshine and just a few showers. Mostly light winds.
