Yellow weather warning issued this week for NI with heavy rain on the way
According to the Met Office, persistent and at times heavy rain will bring disruption to travel and potential for local flooding tomorrow in Northern Ireland.
A yellow weather warning has been issued tomorrow from 2am to 9pm, with eastern counties being affected.
Met Office Chief Meteorologist Matthew Lehnert explained: “After a long spell of high pressure bringing dry weather and sunshine, gloomier and unsettled conditions are on the horizon.
What should I expect?
☔️ Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible
☔️ Perhaps some interruption to power supplies and other services
☔️ Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
☔️ Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer

The forecast for Good Friday and Easter weekend will become clearer towards the end of the week.
Temperatures this coming weekend are likely to be around average for the time of year, with potentially unsettled days, dry interludes, and chilly nights.

Today: It will be a dry and sunny start. Then cloud building through late morning, though remaining mainly bright and sunny with just the odd shower. Maximum temperature 11 °C.
Tonight: Dry at first with some early evening brightness, but cloud and rain spreading northwest through the evening and overnight, rain becoming quite heavy and persistent. Freshening winds. Minimum temperature 3 °C.
Wednesday: A cool, cloudy and rainy day. Quite persistent rain with heavy outbreaks at times. Becoming quite windy with coastal gales possible. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Unsettled and changeable. Sunshine and scattered showers on Thursday and early Friday, more persistent and heavy rain possible later Friday and through Saturday.
