What's the weather going to be like for St.Patrick's Weekend?

A mini 'Beast from the East' is set to welcome in St.Patrick's Day 2018.

Another cold front is expected to move in from Siberia just in time for the weekend... but there is good news... it won't be as severe as what we experienced at start of the month.

There will be plenty of dry weather around, but expect freezing temperatures and the odd snow shower.

It will stay mainly dry for the parades, but feel bitterly cold with daytime highs of 2-5 degrees. Sunday is looking like the best day for the outdoors with some brighter spells.

A rather cloudy day with outbreaks of rain, perhaps some heavier bursts at times especially across eastern parts. Strong easterly or southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday

Mainly dry, perhaps a few light showers in the east on Saturday, and bright through the weekend and into Monday with winds easing and widespread overnight frosts
