There is some good news as forecasters are predicting a mainly 'warm and dry' start to Easter in Northern Ireland, temperatures could reach as high as 21C by Good Friday

According to the Met Office; "Many places will be dry for Good Friday, with warm sunny spells."

"The rest of the Easter weekend is looking to be mainly dry and warm, though there is still some uncertainty in the forecast as to how cloudy it will be."

"For the rest of April, the weather looks likely to become more mixed with some rain at times, particularly in the west and northwest."

The warm spell could put parts of the province hotter than Barcelona where temperatures are expected to climb to 18C and on a par with Portugal where it will be 17C.
