Northern Ireland bathed in glorious sunshine at the weekend, with more to come this week.

According to forecasters a dry and warm bank holiday weekend is on the cards with temperatures reaching the high teens, according to the Met Office.

"There will be a good deal of dry weather with sunny spells. The end of May and beginning of June will most likely remain overall drier and warmer than average."

The improvement begins on Wednesday with temperatures rising through Saturday and lasting through.

The start of the next week will be dry and warm in many areas with sunny spells.

Temperatures will range from 15 to 21 degrees with the best of any sunshine across northern and western counties. Feeling cooler along the coasts.
