A mini 'Beast from the East' is set to welcome in St.Patrick's Day.
Another cold front is expected to move in from Siberia just in time for the weekend.
There will be plenty of dry weather around, but expect freezing temperatures.
The Met Office has issued a yellow ‘be aware’ weather warning for parts of counties Down, Armagh and Fermanagh.
Snow showers are expected to develop through Saturday night lasting through Sunday. These, combined with strong winds could lead to locally very poor travel condition
A statement on the Met Office website says: "Showers are likely to bring 1 to 3cm of snow in places and perhaps 5-10cm over the hills."
"Travel delays on roads along with delays to rail travel seem likely. Icy surfaces will increase the risk of accidents and injuries."
The main snow warning is in place from 21:00 on Saturday to 10:00 Sunday.
The poor weather caused havoc when it last landed two weeks ago, with several hundred schools closing.
The effects could be slightly less problematic this time, with the warning only in place until Sunday morning.
