Met Office issues warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms

After a poor start to summer and one of the wettest Junes on record, a weather warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms has been issued for Northern Ireland.
According to the Met Office, thundery showers could bring localised flooding to parts of the the country during tomorrow.
"Thunderstorms may break out in some places during the afternoon and evening. Western parts are perhaps most likely to be affected by thunderstorms. In a few places as much as 20 mm rain could fall in an hour and close to 30 mm rain may fall in a couple of hours."
The Met Office's weather warning comes into affect from 12:00 on Monday lasting through until 23:00.
"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures."
"There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded or struck by lighting, causing damage to some buildings."
"Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services."
"There is a slight chance that flooding or lightning strikes could cause power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses."

WEDNESDAY - 🌤️ - Dry with some warm sunshine - 21°C
THURSDAY - 🌤️ - Dry with some warm sunshine - 22°C
