Met Office issues yellow warning for heavy rain today

After a pretty disappointing start to June, a weather warning for heavy and persistent rain has been issued for Northern Ireland.
According to the Met Office, thundery showers could bring localised flooding to parts of the the country during this evening.
"Rain will move up from the south on Tuesday, becoming persistent and sometimes heavy during the afternoon and evening. 20 to 30 mm is likely to fall quite widely, with 40 to 50 mm possible in a few places, mainly in southeastern counties. The rain will persist overnight then slowly die out on Wednesday morning."
The Met Office's weather warning comes into effect from 14:00 Tuesday and lasts through until 08:00 tomorrow morning.
"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and longer journey times."
"Bus and train services could be affected with journey times taking longer."

Wednesday - 🌧️🌥️ - rain turning more showery with occasional drier and brighter spells developing (14°C)
Thursday - ⛈️🌥️ - Bright with occasional sunny spells and showers. The showers mostly likely during the afternoon and could be heavy (14°C)
Friday - 🌥️ - Sunny spells and showers (15°C)
