Ice warning issued across parts of Northern Ireland
A yellow weather warning will be in place tonight ⚠️
Showers expected this evening on will lead to a risk of icy patches tomorrow.
According to the Met Office, showers will be wintry over high ground across Northern Ireland, with a slight covering of snow possible in places, mainly above 200 metres.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for the north west of Northern Ireland from 10pm tonight (Wed 29th) to 10am tomorrow (Thurs 30th).
What to expect?
❄️ Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
❄️ Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces

Today: This morning will be rather cloudy with a few showers. This afternoon will see some bright or sunny spells with any showers dying out. Light winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Tonight: Cloudy at times across northern and western counties with occasional showers. Dry elsewhere with clear periods and some frost. A few icy patches. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
Thursday: After a cold start it will be dry for most of the day with some sunny spells. Rain will spread east in the evening. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday: Dry and sunny on Friday. Dry and windy on Saturday with strong southwesterly winds. Rain on Saturday night clearing away to leave a mainly dry day on Sunday.
