Finally Northern Ireland looks set for some spring warmth next week
It's felt like the longest winter ever... ☀️😎🍦
After months of being battered by snow and freezing temperatures, spring could be about to arrive.
Things are expected to get a little milder next week as a shift in the jet stream pushes warmer air towards the UK.
According to the Met Office temperatures could reach 17°C in parts of Northern Ireland by Thursday.
“The change comes at the weekend as we lose the easterly flow and winds shift back to a southerly direction."
"Mediterranean air will be drawn from Spain and Portugal into the UK."
"With showers around there may not be much in the way of sunshine, but it will be a welcome change."
Outlook for this weekend;
Low cloud and drizzle clearing away on Saturday leaving a dry, bright day. Turning windier and often unsettled through Sunday and Monday, but with some warm sunshine at times.
