"Our Place in Space" heads to North Down's coast
Last updated 7th Feb 2023
Don't miss your final chance to wander around our giant mini solar system along the stunning locations of the North Down coastal path.
Follow the 'Our Place in Space' trail onto a newly installed pathway opening onto the North Down Coastal Path and stretching through Crawfordsburn Country Park, starting at the Ulster Transport Museum and finishing at Bangor Pier.
Pluto in the park anyone? Saturn-on-sea?
Centered around an epic scale model of the solar system designed by the artist Oliver Jeffers with scientist Professor Stephen Smartt and a creative team led by Nerve Centre, Our Place in Space is a three-dimensional sculpture trail, interactive AR app and exciting learning and events programme.
Running for a month, 24 February - 26 March, follow the signage from the car park or from the Cultra train stop and start your journey within the museum grounds where you can zoom from the Sun to Mars.
You do not need tickets to visit the trail but recommended you visit between 9am and 7pm when the tour's Trail Guardians are around for helpful advice and maps.
