De-icer at the ready, another yellow weather warning for snow and ice comes into effect from midnight tonight, with forecasters warning slippery pavements and travel disruption is likely.
According to The Met Office; "An area of sleet and snow will move eastwards across the southern counties of Northern Ireland overnight into Sunday morning, clearing from the west around sunrise but lingering over the southeast. Some small accumulations of snow are likely with 1-3 cm in places, though the southeast may see slightly larger amounts with 5 cm possible, particularly around the Mourne mountains."
With an overnight low of -7C forecast, expect a widespread frost overnight with icy stretches forming quite widely.

It will stay mainly dry with clear skies throughout this evening and overnight, although perhaps a little sleet and snow in the far south by morning. Very cold with a widespread frost. Minimum temperature -7 °C.
Sunday:
A lot of dry and sunny weather on Sunday but wintry showers pushing in from the northwest during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 3 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Wintry showers, mainly during the morning, and sunny spells on Monday. Dry to start on Tuesday but rain arriving later. Further rain with some drier interludes on Wednesday.
