Two arrested in Lisa Dorrian murder probe

Man and woman questioned on suspicion of murder

Police investigating the murder of Lisa Dorrian in Co Down 14 years ago, arrested a 49-year-old man and woman (34) today.

The pair have been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.

Detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team made the arrests this morning.

Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy, who is leading the investigation, said: “A 49 year old man and a 34 year old woman were arrested this morning in the Newtownards area on suspicion of murder.”

Meanwhile, fresh searches, which began earlier this week, continue oday for the missing 25-year-old.

The search is centring around the Ballyhalbert caravan site where Lisa was last seen alive.

Chief Constable, George Hamilton said the PSNI would not give up hope looking for her.
