TRAFFIC: Serious crash on Glenshane Pass
It's been closed in both directions between Castledawson and Dungiven
There's been a two-vehicle serious crash on the main road between Belfast and Derry.
Emergency services are at the scene on the Glenshane Road between Castledawson and Dungiven, close to the Ponderosa restaurant.
The road is closed in both directions and will remain so for the busy morning rush-hour period.
Drivers Derry or Belfast-bound are being asked to find an alternative route.
Belfast bound traffic is being diverted at Main Street Dungiven towards Garvagh, while Derry bound traffic is being diverted towards Draperstown.
In a statement police said, “Motorists are advised that the Glenshane Road, between Castledawson and Dungiven, Derry/Londonderry, is closed following a serious two vehicle road traffic collision. Diversions are currently in place. Please seek an alternative route for your journey.”
