Three arrested under Terrorism Act in DCI Caldwell attempted murder probe
The gun attack happened in Omagh in February
Three men have been arrested in connection with the shooting of a PSNI officer earlier this year.
Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell suffered life-changing injuries in the attempted murder bid in Omagh in February.
All three men are being questioned under the Terrorism Act.
A PSNI statement said, “Detectives investigating the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell in February have today, Tuesday 4 July, arrested three men under the Terrorism Act.”
“The men are aged 45, 47 and 58. They were arrested in Newtownabbey, Coalisland and Belfast respectively.”
“All three have been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning, and remain in custody at this time”
