Technical issue with PSNI 101 number resolved

The line is used for non-urgent calls to police

A technical issue with the PSNI’s non-urgent 101 number has been resolved.

There was a temporary issue with calls not connecting yesterday evening.

A PSNI statement said, “Earlier technical issues with the Police Service’s non-urgent 101 number have now been fully resolved this evening, Tuesday 18th July.”

“The emergency 999 system did not experience any faults during this period.”

We would like to thank the public for their assistance and patience whilst urgent repair work was carried out to fix this temporary issue.”

“As well as now using the 101 number again, you can also submit a non-urgent report online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/”

Police have apologised for any inconvenience caused.
