Well it seems like we are in for more sub-zero temperatures, gale-force icy winds and blizzard-like conditions - as Storm Emma sweeps in from the Atlantic.

Around 250 schools had to close today, a number of flights have been cancelled and some treacherous driving conditions have been reported.

Below is a list of emergency numbers you may need -

• Emergency services - 999 or 101

• Electricity Networks - 03457 643 643

• Gas Emergency Service - 0800 002 001

• Water Waterline - 03457 440 088

• Flooding Incident Line - 0300 2000 100

• Housing Executive - 03448 920 900

Hundreds of schools in Northern Ireland have taken the decision to close - and more are likely to follow suit. You can find a link to those affected here.

Flights have also been cancelled and airports are advising people to check their website before leaving for their flight.

As you can imagine, roads have been greatly effected. The worst affected areas are -

• M1 Ballyskeagh to end M1 at J15 Dungannon

• M1 J9 Moira - very difficult conditions - vehicles struggling to get grip on slip roads

• Carryduff Area

• A1 Sprucefield / Hillsborough down to Newry and Irish Border

• Lisburn - Belsize Rd / North Lisburn Feeder Road
