The sister of East Belfast murder victim Rachel Simpson has paid an emotional tribute to her in a post online, remembering her as "beautiful”, “kind-hearted”, and “a cherished mother”.
The 43 year old’s body was found in the garage of a house on the Castlereagh Road last Friday.
A post on social media said, “My beautiful kind hearted sister Rachel Simpson died on Friday.”
“We mourn a daughter, a sister and a cherished mother of 3 children. Loved by everyone who knew her.”
“Heartache is not a feeling I have known until now. We ask for prayers and love as we navigate this as a Simpson family.”
Rachel Simpson’s 21 year old son Nathan Simpson has been remanded in custody, accused of her murder.
A court heard on Monday that he had only recently been released from prison.
