Security alert declared in Belfast

Police in Belfast are dealing with a security alert.

The alarm was raised on Wednesday afternoon in the Glenalina Gardens area in the west of the city.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Cordons are in place and the public are asked to avoid the area at this time.

"An update will be issued in due course."
