Police and community rescue teams are to team up on Saturday in the hunt for suspected murder victim Pat McCormick.

The 55-year-old dad of four, was last seen driving his black car on Castle Street in Comber at 10.30pm on Thursday 30 May.

Police believe he was murdered.

CCTV footage released by the PSNI shows Mr McCormick crossing Castle Street and walking through an archway.

Fresh searches were sparked on Thursday after new information came to light.

Police carried out car-stops in the town that evening and on Friday, specialist divers combed water in Castle Espie.

The wetlands area near the wildfowl centre was around nine metres deep and dive teams said visibility was poor.

The operation ended after around two hours.

Victim recovery dogs will be used on Saturday in the latest land search.

Detectives say Saturday's 'search operation is likely to continue throughout...the day and will incorporate the main routes in and out of Comber.'

Detective Chief Inspector Pete Montgomery addressed the media on Thursday:

"We will also be conducting further searches.

"Searches are ongoing at present.

"And on Saturday, there will be a significant route search in the Comber area with both police being supported by the community rescue team."
