Queen meets First and Deputy First Ministers at Hillsborough Castle

The Queen has met Michelle O'Neill during an engagement at Hillsborough Castle.

Camilla shook hands with the Sinn Fein First Minister as well as the DUP's deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly during an event celebrating literature in Co Down.

The Queen has arrived at Hillsborough Castle in Co Down where she is taking part in an event highlighting the importance of literature.

Camilla is marking World Poetry Day by watching spoken-word performances at the royal residence in Northern Ireland, as well as meeting authors, actors and performers.

Hosted by poet Paul Muldoon, the Queen will watch performances from Derry Girls' actor Ian McElhinney, actress Frances Tomelty, and contemporary poet Micheal Longley.

The performances will celebrate the poetry and literature of Northern Ireland.

Camilla will meet the performers and invited guests including representatives of Libraries NI, The Camilla Club and Arts Council Northern Ireland.

The event is hosted by The Queen's Reading Room charity.
