Two cars stolen following creeper style burglary in Newry

Police say it happened between midnight and a 5.45 this morning.

Two cars have been stolen overnight following what police are describing as a creeper style burglary in Newry.

Police say it happened between midnight and a 5.45 this morning.

It was reported that entry was gained to the back of the property and the keys for both vehicles were taken. One vehicle remains outstanding.

Detective Sergeant Curley said: “Sometime between midnight and around 5:45am on Sunday 21st July, it was reported that a black Ford Ranger and a red Renault Kadjar were stolen from a property in the area. It was reported that entry was gained to the rear of the property and the keys for both vehicles were taken. The Ford Ranger remains outstanding at this time, with the Renault Kadjar recovered following the incident.

“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to this incident, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 385 21/07/24. Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
