PSNI investigating two burglaries in Newry

They happened in the Bessbrook area yesterday evening.

PSNI detectives are appealing for information following the report of two burglaries in the Bessbrook area of Newry yesterday evening, (Saturday 27th January).

A police spokesperson said: “At approximately 11.25 we received a report that the front door of a house in Riverside Crescent had been damaged and access gained to the property. A quantity of cash and jewellery was taken. A short time later, officers on patrol came across a second property that had been broken into in the same area."

Police are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV, doorbell or other footage to come forward.
