PSNI investigate "suspicious" fire at Institute football club
Blaze at Riverside stadium, Drumahoe may have been arson
Police are investigating a suspicious fire at Institute football club in Londonderry which caused extensive damage.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at the Riverside stadium on the Glenshane Road around 9.45 on Friday night.
Inspector Louise Cummings said: "Police are treating this fire as suspicious at this time and I would appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact Police at Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1407 22/06/18.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
