He is "unlawfully at large" in the north-west area
A remand prisoner is “unlawfully at large” in the north-west area, it emerged today (Friday).
Police in Londonderry are appealing for information on the whereabouts of James Donegan but have warned against approaching him but to contact the Reducing Offender Unit on Strand road on 101.
They said the 30-year-old is awaiting sentence for a number of serious offences including attempted hijacking.
And they have urged him to hand himself in.
In a statement, the PSNI said he did not return to custody after being granted compassionate bail by the court.
It is believed he is travelling across the Derry and Donegal areas and “may be involved in further criminal activity.”
He is described as being around 5’ 9”tall, of medium build with light brown hair.
