Primark to open new store in Belfast before Christmas
Retailer will move into Commonwealth House buildings and a second shop could be on the horizon
Primark is opening a new interim store in Belfast while work continues on restoring the clothing giant’s Bank Buildings premises which were destroyed in a fire.
The retailer will open a shop at Commonwealth House on December 8 and it is believed there are also plans for a second store at Fountain House on Donegall Place – opening for business in the spring.
Primark was gutted in an extensive blaze in August.
It led to around 14 businesses closing down after a safety cordon had to be thrown around the immediate area.
