Power cut in Newtownards expected to last several hours

In the early hours of this morning, the Newtownards area was affected by a power cut.

It was first reported at 8.50am and NIE said that the issue is estimated to be dealt with by 12pm.

NIE reached out to customers on social media: "We are aware of a power issue in the #Newtownards area this morning.

"Our repair team has arrived and is assessing the problem now. We appreciate your patience whilst investigations are ongoing."
