Police probe two Newry burglaries

Police are investigating two burglaries in Newry.

Just before 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, it was reported a man broke into a property in the Ballinlare Gardens area.

A second disturbance was then reported between 2:15 and 6:30pm in the city's Barcroft Park area, with damaged caused to a window.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish if anything was taken during this incident.

“An investigation is underway into these reports and we are investigating a potential link.

“We are appealing to anyone who has any information about what happened, or who witnessed any suspicious activity in these areas at the time or with CCTV, doorbell or other footage that could assist our investigation, to call 101 and quote reference number 1367 of 28/01/24.”
