Police officer injured during Londonderry incident

A police officer has sustained a serious hand injury whilst on duty on Saturday night in Londonderry.

It happened around 11 o'clock when officers were called to reports of an aggressive male in the Galliagh Park area.

After hospital treatment, the officer was unable to remain on-duty.

A 31-year old man's under arrest.
