Police investigate report of County Down assault

Police are appealing for information following the report of an assault on Sunday morning.

Just before 10 o'clock officers received a report a man had been attacked by a number of men in Killyleagh's Castleview area - he was treated in hospital.

Three men - two aged 44 and another 24 year old - were detained - they've since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or to anyone with CCTV, dash-cam or other footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 517 of 22/10/23.”
