Police investigate Newry burglary

Police are investigating a burglary in Newry.

It happened over the weekend in the Woodlands area of the city.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Sometime between 1pm on Saturday, November 18th and Sunday, November 19th, it was reported entry was gained to a house in the area.

"It was reported a quantity of jewellery and a sum of cash was taken - with a number of rooms inside the property also ransacked during the incident."

Police are appealing for witnesses.

"As enquiries continue, we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around this time, to contact detectives on 101, and quote reference number 1156 19/11/23.
