Pete, Paulo and Rebecca have reached the summit of their career – literally by taking their show to Northern Ireland’s highest peak this week!
The trio have now been waking up Northern Ireland audiences for 10 years and are celebrating with their highest ever listenership and becoming the biggest radio show in the country with 325,000 weekly listeners.
Their dynamic chemistry, infectious humour, and genuine friendship have resonated deeply with listeners, making the show a staple of morning routines.
The Cool FM Breakfast team are now planning a full week of special events to mark their anniversary including hiking Northern Ireland’s tallest peak to present their popular morning radio show LIVE.
Kicking off this week’s activities, the team will present a special anniversary breakfast show on Monday, including highlights over the decade and a bespoke playlist.
Then wrapping up their birthday week, Pete, Paulo and Rebecca host a Colour Dash event at Stormont Estate with 1000 listeners, raving and raising money for our station charity Cash for Kids NI.
Pete Snodden reflects on the past decade: “When we started the show, the aim was to have as much fun as possible, get the listeners involved and most of all not take ourselves too seriously, I think we have ticked those boxes. I am loving the show now more than ever and can’t wait to see what happens next with Paulo & Rebecca.”
Rebecca McKinney adds: “Working with my two best mates every day is a joy and we have such a genuine laugh. I feel very lucky to be marking this milestone and looking forward to many more breakfast radio adventures together’
A highlight for Paulo Ross over the past 10 years was the Coast to Coast Challenge for Cash for Kids NI. “For me, one of the standout moments was our epic paddleboard across the Irish sea. Battling the elements, the comradery and team work and sharing this accomplishment with tens of thousands of our listeners, in something that has never been done in radio history is a memory I will cherish forever.”
