Over 50 firefighters tackle blaze in Newtownabbey

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service are a blaze in Newtownabbey.

It is at Whiteabbey Hospital.

Six fire appliances, two aerial appliances and over 50 firefighters are tackling the outbreak.

Members of the public are being asked to avoid the area, with local residents advised to keep windows and doors shut.

Later on Sunday afternoon (3:20pm) NIFRS said operations were being scaled down.
