Northern lights could be visible tonight over Northern Ireland

According to the Met Office, there is a chance that the Northern Lights could be visible tonight across the UK.

The lights are most likely to be viewed from the early hours of Friday across Northern Ireland and Scotland.

This Evening and Tonight: Becoming mostly dry as showers become more confined to northern coastal areas this evening and tonight with some good clear spells inland and across the south. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Friday: Southern and eastern counties will stay mainly dry with some sunny spells. Some showers across the north coast and the west. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Sunny intervals and frequent showers on Saturday. Cloudy with outbreaks of rain after a bright start on Sunday, Monday dry with sunny spells and turning milder.
