'Noah's Army' lights up Cavehill
Hundreds gathered to mark one year since the death of Noah Donohoe.
Blue hearts. Balloons. Banners. Jerseys. Lights.
Those are some of the symbols carried by hundreds of 'Noah's Army', as crowds scaled Cavehill in North Belfast to mark on year since the tragic passing of 14 year old Noah Donohoe.
The St Malachy's schoolboy, son of Fiona, was last seen alive on June 21 2020, and was found dead in a storm-drain in North Belfast six days later following extensive search and rescue efforts by emergency services and the public.
A well attended candlelit vigil at Cavehill, overlooking Belfast City, marked his first anniversary.
The family of Noah has gained significant support from the so-called 'Noah's Army'; a group fighting to learn the truth about how the teen came to die in the strangest of circumstances.
Calling supporters to the event, a poster read: "This past year has been unbearable for us but Noah's Army gives us strength and support to fight another day and for that we will always be eternally grateful. #RememerMyNoah."
Those who summited the hill were bathed in the evening glow of a beautiful sunset on the longest day of the year.
They heard tributes to the sporty, musical and popular young man from speakers at the top of the hill, as lights were held up in his memory and balloons were released.

The atmosphere atop Napoleon's Nose was a tragically beautiful one with some peace, some applause, and some moving words from the schoolboy's nearest and dearest.
An inquest into the circumstances surrounding Noah's death is ongoing.
