Police have confirmed the man murdered in Newry on Thursday was Mark Lovell.

The 58 year old was shot a number of times, at close range, outside his home in the Ardcarn Park area of the city shortly after 6pm.

A reward of up to £20,000 is being offered for information on the murder of Mark Lovell

Detectives from the Police Service Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation and are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information or footage to get in touch by calling 101, quoting reference 1600 01/12/22.
