Heavy persistent rain is expected to continue to affect parts of Northern Ireland today, which may lead to some travel disruption and flooding according to the Met Office.
Forecasters have issued a yellow severe weather warning for counties Antrim, Down, Tyrone, Derry~Londonderry and Armagh overnight.
"Rain will affect northern and eastern parts of Northern Ireland at times through Wednesday and into Thursday, though some reduction in intensity is likely for a time during Wednesday afternoon and evening. Widely 20-40 mm of rain is expected with some sites perhaps seeing 50 mm or more. Higher ground, particularly the Antrim Plateau, is likely to see higher rainfall amounts with the chance of 80 mm or more in a few places, though snow is more likely above above 300m"
The Met Office's weather warning comes into effect from 10:00 on Wednesday lasting through until 23:59 Thursday.

Outbreaks of rain, sleet and possibly snow on Friday. Wintry showers on Saturday and Sunday. Feeling cold with strong northeasterly winds.
