Police treating city centre stabbing as attempted murder

Police are treating an incident in Belfast in which a man was stabbed, as attempted murder.

The PSNI were called to the scene at Great Victoria Street just after 6.20 last night, after reports of an altercation.

The man in his 20s sustained life threatening injuries in the attack and remains in hospital.

Three men, aged 19, 24 and 37, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are in police custody helping police with their enquiries.

The PSNI want to speak to anyone who was in the area between six and six thirty yesterday evening and saw anything suspicious.
