North Belfast: police appeal after man is stabbed in abdomen

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Belfast.

Detectives are appealing for information about the incident in the north of the city in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).

Police received a report at around 5.10am that a man in the Woodland Avenue area had been stabbed in the abdomen.

A PSNI statement said: "Officers attended the scene along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, who took the male on to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

"Our inquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone with any information, including CCTV, dashcam or other footage, to contact detectives on the 101 number, quoting reference 136 of 21/01/26."
