Man stabbed in Co. Armagh

A man has been stabbed in the face and body during an assault in Craigavon

The incident happened at around 5 am on Tuesday when two masked men forced their way into a house in the Parkmore estate.

The victim's imjuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detective Inspector Stephen Harvey said “It is believed this assault occurred around 5.00am when 2 masked men forced entry to a property and attacked the occupant, causing stab wounds and injuries to his face and body.

"The man was then taken to hospital, for treatment to his injuries, where he remains. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

"I would ask anyone who may have witnessed this assault or may have seen anything suspicious in the area to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Lurgan on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 122 28/02/17.

"Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
