Man held over 'armed robbery offences' in Carrickfergus
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in Carrickfergus on suspicion of a number of robbery offences in the town and surrounding area.
Searches were carried out in Carrickfergus on Saturday night.
The arrest is in connection with an armed robbery at a shop in Oakland Park in Carrick on 28 December, an armed robbery at a shop in Ballynure on 26 December and another at a shop in Glynn on Christmas Eve.
The man remains in custody at present
