Man due in court charged with murder of woman in East Belfast
The body of 43 year old Rachel Simpson was discovered on Friday
A 21 year old man is due in court later charged with the murder of a woman in East Belfast.
The body of 43 year old Rachel Simpson was discovered in the garage of a house on the Castlereagh Road on Friday evening.
The suspect was arrested at the scene after police were called to a concern for safety report.
A PSNI statement said, “Detectives investigating the murder of 43-year-old Rachel Simpson in east Belfast on Friday night, 13th September, have charged a man to court”.
“The man, aged 21, has been charged with murder and is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday, 16th September.”
“As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.”
