Man due in court charged in connection with fatal crash in County Armagh

A man has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving following a crash in County Armagh in which a father and son died.

Peter Devlin (63) and his son Loughlin (28) died at the scene of the two-vehicle collision which happened outside the village of Killylea two days after Christmas.

Four other people, including a baby, were taken to hospital following the crash.

A woman who was seriously injured is still fighting for her life.

The 32 year old man, who's due before Newry Magistrates Court this morning, is also charged with one count of causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving.

A PSNI statement said, “Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit have charged a man to court following a collision in Killylea, County Armagh on Friday 27th December.”

“The man, aged 32, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, and one count of causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving. “

“He is due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Friday 3rd January.”
