Belleek: man charged after 'hit-and-run' death

The 70-year-old faces a number of offences including causing death by dangerous driving

A 70 year old man was today (Friday) charged after the death of man in a 'hit-and-run' road crash in Co Fermanagh.

A 70-year-old man was today (Friday) charged after the death of man in a 'hit-and-run' road crash in Co Fermanagh.

He faces charges of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to remain where accident occurred causing injury, failing to report an accident whereby injury was caused and failing to stop where accident occurred causing injury.

The man is due to appear at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday, October 14th.

Motorcyclist Richard Maze (70) died at the scene of the accident which happened yesterday in Belleek.

Police say the Boa Island Road has since reopened following the collision.
